Southbound Storrs Lake Segment

Beautiful forest views, gave way to a wade through the swamp, where I finally threw in the towel. Here is where I gave up and turned around. This image looks back the way I had come. The "trail" is along the left edge of the frame. I hiked south along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail from the Bowers Road parking lot, I wore my high wading boots, and was determined to push through the flooded portion of the trail. I failed in that, but it was still an interesting test of the capabilities of an old man.
