Crownvetch (Securigera varia) seen near Rice Lake in the Kettle Moraine State Forest in Walworth County, Wisconsin. This particular specimen seems to be infested with tiny mites feeding on at least four of the flowers in this cluster. The easiest one to see is in the upper right quadrant.

Achillea millefolium, commonly known as yarrow or common yarrow, is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. Other common names include old man's pepper, devil's nettle, sanguinary, milfoil, soldier's woundwort, and thousand seal. Yarrow is an herb. The above ground parts are used to make medicine. Yarrow is used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating.
