They tag butterflies. Who Knew? This monarch butterfly has been tagged by someone from the University of Kansas (USA). That little white sticker says: TAG@KU.EDU MONARCH WATCH 1-888-TAGGING KUJ 550 I notified Mr/Ms Tag, and attached this image to the email.
This tiny hummingbird is taking a rest on some disused flower stalks.
According to the little sign, this is a "fragrant heliotrope". They do smell nice, but I was most interested in the way the sunshine through the trees caused the little flowers to glow, seemingly with a light of their own.
